Mrs Robinson

Mrs Iris Robinson MP, has stated that "it is the government's responsibility to uphold god's law".

Oh dear.

What further proof do we need that this person doesn't have the critical faculties needed to be in our government?
Iris really does put the mental into fundamental (Christianity, that is).

Or was she referring to one of the gods worshipped by other faiths within Northern Ireland? Nah.

The electorate put her in place to uphold the law of the land, not some esoteric dogma from a desert in the far east.

I view this as the three strikes she needs to be kicked out of Stormont.

I was angered by her previous views but this one , I think, shows very clearly just what sort of mentalist (fundamentalist that is) we are dealing with.

Iris out.

Blowing hot and cold

So, I held back on deciding whether this so called gobal warming phenomenon was caused by mankind.
I don't tend to jump on the bandwagon of the shrill.
Ok,ok, sometimes I do but I always reserve the right to change my mind.
I mean, that is scientific isn't it, sticking with a theory until it is proved otherwise?
I smelt something fishy when the talk turned to carbon credits...the idea that those greedmongers would trade carbon credits just made me think it was all a scam. Carbon footprint, my arse, as it were.
For those who like reading see the link below-

Cut and paste folks. The title is clickable but leads somewhere else.

Other planets are warming up, sunspot activity is not as ususal.
Something odd going on then ,eh?

UK govt wants to give us all a personal carbon account. What an almighty pain in the ass that will be, never mind the levels of bureaucracy it will create. More contol over the people is all it is.

I will add that unbridled expansion is the road to nowhere. Those who are of the opinion that "he who dies with the most toys wins" should be lined up and their
wishes fulfilled early and their toys taken away.
That sort of attitude does nothing to advance us as a species at all.

As for capitalism, I have yet to see it working as per theory, much like socialism.

Ribbit

It seems there is an adult common frog living in my back garden.
I won't be charging him any rent since he does a good job of eating the little buggers that I don't want in my garden.
Nice to have him here actually.
I'll maybe put in a small pond next spring.
The large slugs, equal in size to him, are something I have to deal with.
Hateful little bastards, eating my shallotts.

Still, not as bad as foxy eating all Nelly's chickens.
