Mrs Robinson
Mrs Iris Robinson MP, has stated that "it is the government's responsibility to uphold god's law".
Oh dear.
What further proof do we need that this person doesn't have the critical faculties needed to be in our government?
Iris really does put the mental into fundamental (Christianity, that is).
Or was she referring to one of the gods worshipped by other faiths within Northern Ireland? Nah.
The electorate put her in place to uphold the law of the land, not some esoteric dogma from a desert in the far east.
I view this as the three strikes she needs to be kicked out of Stormont.
I was angered by her previous views but this one , I think, shows very clearly just what sort of mentalist (fundamentalist that is) we are dealing with.

she is beyond words! did you see that other stuff she is now denying saying....about homosexuality being on a par with being a pedophile ! the woman is so full of hate....
If there's anything that should disqualify her from government, that remark is it. It's alarmingly like the Muslim demand for sharia law to supercede any other kind of law. Surely God would find so much wrong with the government, her duty is to resign from it immediately and have nothing to do with such a sinful institution?
agree with nick, he's a clever guy. Not sure about the Sharia Law thing though. As someone who's slightly less equal in the eyes of others, I think I have to say I agree with Sharia Law. Because this as simply a way for muslims to live, following legal laws in a manner that supports their believes. I mean it is a flawed system, but I guess their entitiled.
Manuel, Regarding Iris. She is not denying the comments she made comparing homosexuality and pedophillia. She is simply stating that she said pedophillia is marginally worse than homosexuality.
Believe me, I am not defending Iris Robinson. I simply like everyone to have their facts right.
Oh wait, I just realised isn't Sharia Law, where a Muslim can get away with murder, quite literally. They have a legal argument for their innocence, as long they can prove that the murder is justified by their religous believes.
If I am wrong here, some one tell me to shut up.
I am now familiar with sharia law, done some research. I know I should have done that before commenting, but it was 2:00 in the morning, in spite of what your blog says, I know I was awake.
So please ignore my ignorance concerning sharia law.
